The following officials, officers and employees shall receive as compensation those amounts as annually determined reasonable by the Governing Body:

(a)   Mayor

(b)   Councilpersons

(c)   Clerk

(d)   Assistant Clerk

(e)   Treasurer

(f)   Utility and Street Superintendent

(g)   Chief of Police

(h)   Municipal Judge

In addition, the Governing Body shall annually determine the amount of annual leave to which said officer or employee may be entitled. The allowance of fringe benefits, such as insurance coverage and retirement contributions, shall also be determined annually.

In accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 12-16,102, as amended, there is established an Employees Benefit Contribution Fund for the purpose of paying the City’s share of certain employee benefits, including employer contributions for Social Security, Workers Compensation, unemployment insurance, healthcare costs, employee benefit plans, and employee retirement and pension programs .
