ARTICLE 6. GAS FITTING AND PIPING CODE

4-601. Standard gas fitting and piping code incorporated by reference.

That a certain standard code known as “Installation of Gas Appliances and Gas Piping, 1965 Edition,” published and recommended by the National Fire Protection Association, 60 Batterymarch Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02110, is hereby incorporated by reference herein, and made a part of this Article, as if the same were set out in full herein, save and except such portions as are hereinafter or may be hereafter amended or deleted, as authorized and in the manner prescribed by K.S.A. 12-3009.

4-602. Additions to standard code.

The Superintendent of Utilities shall perform the duties of Gas Inspector, unless otherwise provided by ordinance.

4-603. Penalty.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in any sum not exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100), or be imprisoned not to exceed thirty (30) days, or be both so fined and imprisoned.
